Add this work to the archives concerning the piece under the reference AITSRS990.<br \/>\nThe same day, stop for a minute in front of the window of the Arnaud Lefebvre gallery. In the half-light, discover what could be called an autumn display\u2026 Still walking along the rue Mazarine, come across Jean-Dominique Carr\u00e9 who is busy writing a sign informing the passer-by of the new opening hours of his bookshop.<br \/>\nThus each one of us in one way or another underlines the fact that we are starting out on a new period of activity\u2026 following the organization of the school year. Classifying, cleaning, cutting out new cards, developing new categories; cleaning windows* and inevitably arranging new window displays. In the theatre this operation is called staging.<br \/>\n*The reproduction of a painting by the artist Yvan Pouni springs to mind: Cleaning Windows, dated 1915\u2026 in the book by Camilla Gray, The Russian Avant-Garde in Modern Art 1863-1922.<br \/>\nAt the terrace of the Mazarin caf\u00e9, on the corner of the rue Jacques Callot and the rue Mazarine, describe to my companion, the outline of the project which I have been thinking about for some time.<br \/>\nFrom this brief encounter note that Jean-Dominique Carr\u00e9 is indeed eager to set up a project both for his bookshop and for the adjoining apartment. To show his determination he talks about the length of the presentation and when it will take place; we decide on December 1993 as the deadline before which we must have something to show. The only constraint, which is perfectly understandable, is the desire on the part of our host not to remove Claude Rutault\u2019s work which has been in the rotunda and the hall of the apartment since 1991; papers, canvasses and captions which have, with time, come to form part of his life.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">JEUDI 2 SEPTEMBRE 1993,<br \/>\nfais l\u2019acquisition, chez un bouquiniste, quai rive-gauche, d\u2019une \u00e9tude sur les fr\u00e8res Perret, \u00e9dit\u00e9e par le conservatoire national des arts et m\u00e9tiers ; un catalogue dat\u00e9 1976. Joindre cet ouvrage aux archives de la pi\u00e8ce r\u00e9f\u00e9renc\u00e9e AITSRS1990.<br \/>\nCe m\u00eame jour, m\u2019arr\u00eate un instant devant la baie vitr\u00e9e de la galerie Arnaud Lefebvre. Dans la p\u00e9nombre, d\u00e9couvre ce que l\u2019on peut nommer un accrochage de rentr\u00e9e\u2026 Arpentant toujours la rue Mazarine, surprends Jean-Dominique Carr\u00e9 occup\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9daction d\u2019un carton informant le promeneur des nouvelles plages horaires d\u2019ouverture de sa librairie.<br \/>\nEt chacun de remarquer d\u2019une fa\u00e7on ou d\u2019une autre que nous entamons une nouvelle p\u00e9riode d\u2019activit\u00e9\u2026 calqu\u00e9e sur le rythme scolaire. Classer, nettoyer, d\u00e9couper de nouveaux cartels, d\u00e9velopper de nouvelles rubriques ; laver les vitres* et, n\u00e9cessairement, recomposer une vitrine originale. Au th\u00e9\u00e2tre cette op\u00e9ration a pour nom la mise en \u00e9tat.<br \/>\n* Me revient \u00e0 l\u2019esprit la reproduction d\u2019une peinture de l\u2019artiste Yvan Pouni, Lavage des fen\u00eatres, dat\u00e9e 1915\u2026 in l\u2019ouvrage de Camilla Gray, L\u2019avant-garde russe dans l\u2019art moderne 1863-1922.<br \/>\n\u00c0 la terrasse du Mazarin, angle des rues Jacques Callot et Mazarine, expose rapidement, pour mon interlocuteur, les grandes lignes d\u2019un projet auquel je pense depuis quelque temps d\u00e9j\u00e0.<br \/>\nDe cette br\u00e8ve rencontre, note que Jean-Dominique Carr\u00e9 est bien demandeur d\u2019un projet \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper, \u00e0 la fois dans la librairie et \u00e0 l\u2019appartement attenant. Pour marquer sa d\u00e9termination, notre libraire parle calendrier et dur\u00e9e de pr\u00e9sentation ; retenons d\u00e9cembre 1993, comme date limite avant laquelle nous devons nous manifester.
