A artista<\/span> colocou o<\/span> livro perto da janela<\/span> em seu est\u00fadio<\/span> e permitiu que a<\/span> incid\u00eancia de<\/span> luz natural<\/span> incidisse sobre <\/span>uma reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span> da fachada<\/span> da catedral<\/span> Saint-<\/span>\u00c9tienne em Bourges<\/span>. Ela<\/span> fotografou<\/span> o livro<\/span> a cada minuto durante<\/span> duas horas<\/span>, obtendo<\/span> 120<\/span> fotografias de<\/span> varia\u00e7\u00f5es de luz<\/span> sobre<\/span> a imagem original<\/span>. O jogo de<\/span> sombra e luz<\/span> da<\/span> arquitetura g\u00f3tica<\/span> na fotografia<\/span> original<\/span> \u00e9 sobreposto<\/span> por uma nova<\/span> sombra que<\/span> desliza<\/span> lentamente<\/span> sobre a<\/span> catedral e<\/span>, imperceptivelmente<\/span>, mas irremediavelmente<\/span>, a devora.<\/span> As fotografias de<\/span> Aegerter<\/span> cont\u00eam<\/span> assim tr\u00eas<\/span> camadas estratificadas<\/span> de tempo<\/span>: o s\u00e9culo 12,<\/span> 1949 e<\/span> 2012.<\/span> Cath\u00e9drales<\/span> apresenta uma sequ\u00eancia<\/span> fotogr\u00e1fica, a<\/span>o<\/span> virar as p\u00e1ginas<\/span> estamos cientes<\/span> da dimens\u00e3o temporal<\/span> desta explora\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span> visual,<\/span> uma met\u00e1fora<\/span> da transitoriedade<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The starting point of Laurence A\u00ebgerter\u2019s facsimile Cath\u00e9drales, is the 1949 catalogue Cathedrals and churches of France, published by the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Tourism. The artist placed the book by the window in her studio and allowed the incidence of natural light to impact a reproduction of the fa\u00e7ade of the Saint-\u00c9tienne cathedral in Bourges. She photographed the book every minute during two hours, obtaining 120 photographs of light variations upon this unique image. The play of shadow and light of the Gothic architecture in the orignal photograph, is superimposed by a new shadow that slowly glide on the cathedral and, imperceptibly but irreparably, swallows it up. A\u00ebgerter\u2019s photographs contain thus three stratified layers of times : the 12th century, 1949 and 2012. Cath\u00e9drales presents a photographic sequence and as we turn the pages, we are aware of the temporal dimension of this visual exploration, a metaphor of transcience.<\/p>\n

Le livre Cath\u00e9drales et \u00e9glises de France, publi\u00e9 en 1949 par le Minist\u00e8re des travaux publics, des transports et du tourisme, est \u00e0 l\u02bcorigine du fac-simile Cath\u00e9drales de Laurence A\u00ebgerter. L\u2019artiste a plac\u00e9 l\u02bcouvrage pr\u00e8s de la fen\u00eatre de son atelier, et a laiss\u00e9 l\u02bcincidence de la lumi\u00e8re naturelle influer sur une reproduction de la fa\u00e7ade de la cath\u00e9drale Saint-\u00c9tienne de Bourges. \u2028Elle a alors re-photographi\u00e9 l\u02bcimage toutes les minutes pendant deux heures, obtenant cent-vingt photographies de variations lumineuses sur cette image unique. Le jeu d\u2019ombre et de lumi\u00e8re qui dessine l\u2019architecture gothique dans la photographie originale, se trouve superpos\u00e9 par une nouvelle ombre qui lentement \u00e9volue sur la cath\u00e9drale et, de fa\u00e7on quasi imperceptible mais irr\u00e9m\u00e9diable, finit par l\u2019engloutir. Les photographies d\u2019A\u00ebgerter contiennent ainsi trois temps stratifi\u00e9s : le XIIe si\u00e8cle, 1949, et 2012. Cath\u00e9drales d\u00e9roule la s\u00e9quence photographique et inscrit dans l\u02bcaction du feuillettement la temporalit\u00e9 de cette exploration visuelle, m\u00e9taphore de la fugacit\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
