Napol\u00e9on la r\u00e9affecte en maison de force et de correction en 1804. La prison ferme en 1963.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Peu de traces lisibles restent de l\u2019\u00e9poque p\u00e9nitentiaire, le site de l\u2019abbaye a subi de nombreuses campagnes de restauration. Dans une ancienne chambre de l\u2019infirmerie Saint Beno\u00eet, la direction de la centrale a construit des \u00ab cages \u00e0 poules \u00bb pour accueillir les prisonniers \u00e0 isoler. Elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9es.
