A s\u00e9rie de Bryce se concentra em epis\u00f3dios hist\u00f3ricos cruciais que ele explora de forma cr\u00edtica e sistem\u00e1tica. Seu m\u00e9todo, que ele descreveu como &#8220;an\u00e1lise mim\u00e9tica,&#8221; se baseia na c\u00f3pia cuidadosa de panfletos, documentos oficiais, imagens da imprensa, propaganda pol\u00edtica e an\u00fancios, a fim de articular amplos conjuntos de desenhos a tinta que tratam das rela\u00e7\u00f5es de poder e sua veicula\u00e7\u00e3o na hist\u00f3ria do s\u00e9culo XX. Atrav\u00e9s do jogo b\u00e1sico de re-apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o (no sentido mais literal de mostrar novamente), pela c\u00f3pia ou a simples <em>mise en sc\u00e8ne<\/em> de documentos e objetos, Bryce usa apropria\u00e7\u00e3o, par\u00f3dia e ironia como armas para expor e questionar os preconceitos subjacentes e comumente aceitos nos discursos oficiais. Atrav\u00e9s desta estrat\u00e9gia, Bryce literalmente recupera a figura\u00e7\u00e3o da ideologia. Seu projeto, assim, envolve imagens da hist\u00f3ria do mundo moderno, registradas seletivamente para forjar uma genealogia do presente.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-2333\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" src=\"http:\/\/colecaolivrodeartista.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/06\/bryce_image00076.jpg?w=650\" alt=\"Imagem\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Over the past decade <strong>Fernando Bryce<\/strong> (b. 1965, Lima) has produced an incisive body of work based on historical memory and modes of representation. Bryce\u2019s series focus on crucial historical episodes which he explores critically and systematically. His method, which he has described as \u201cmimetic analysis,\u201d relies on the careful copying of pamphlets, official documents, press images, political propaganda, and advertisements in order to articulate large suites of ink drawings that deal with power relations and their mediatization in twentieth-century history. Through the basic play of re-presentation (in the most literal sense of showing again), by copying or by the simple <em>mise en sc\u00e8ne<\/em> of documents and objects, Bryce uses appropriation, parody, and irony as weapons to expose and question the prejudices underlying commonly accepted official discourses. Through this strategy, Bryce literally recovers the figuration of ideology. His project thus engages the images of history in the modern world, fixed selectively to forge a genealogy of the present.
