The language structured my activities in relation to materials which had the same function as transitive verbs.\u00bb I too have put together a list of action verbs describing my own practice and in particular my relationship with paper: to turn, to split, to tear, to cut, to mask, to divide, to cut into pieces, to make a hole, to dampen, to fold, to caption, to enlarge, to roll, to duplicate, to look at, to hold up, to turn down the corners, to pick up, to fold down, to crumple, to shorten, to move, to find, to repair, to twist, to dirty, to burn, to groove, to macerate, to lift, to put back together, to bend, to stack up, to grease, to reproduce, to reduce, to examine, to lift up\u2026 This list has becomes a working method, which I use in applying simple actions to paper.
