A pe\u00e7a pretendida &#8211; materiais de constru\u00e7\u00e3o pendurados em cordas de alta tens\u00e3o entre os edif\u00edcios do campus &#8211; foi rapidamente bloqueada quando Levine encontrou uma s\u00e9rie de impedimentos burocr\u00e1ticos por parte do pessoal da universidade. O que se seguiu foi jogado no conceito conceitual que o artista havia imaginado para o projeto. Ao comparar a correspond\u00eancia, as transcri\u00e7\u00f5es telef\u00f4nicas e a documenta\u00e7\u00e3o visual do eventual processo de instala\u00e7\u00e3o, Levine usou o trabalho para demonstrar como a pr\u00f3pria universidade funcionava como um sistema. The intended piece\u2014construction materials hung from high-tension rope between campus buildings\u2014was quickly stymied as Levine encountered a series of bureaucratic impediments on the part of the University staff. What ensued was played into the conceptual conceit the artist had envisioned for the project. By collating the correspondence, telephone transcripts, and visual documentation of the eventual installation process, Levine used the work to demonstrate how the university itself functioned as a system.
