Eu fui convidado a exibir meu trabalho e realizar um workshop organizado pela Alexandria Contemporary Arts Forum (ACAF). Este livro \u00e9 uma sele\u00e7\u00e3o dos muitos desenhos que transpiraram nesta viagem surpreendente. “My previous picture book was about a train trip to Baku, this book documents my ferry trip accross the Mediterranean Sea to Alexandria (or Iskandariyah as it is called in Arabic). I was invited to exhbit my work and conduct a workshop organized by the artist-run Alexandria Contemporary Arts Forum (ACAF). This paperback is a selection of the many drawings that transpired on this amazing journey.<\/p>\n Not all my drawings are of a scene that catches my eye. Often it starts with coming across a really comfortable spot where I can sit undisturbed for some time amongst the hustle and rumble of a busy city. This, for me, can be quite meditative. Later, I scan the drawings to upload onto my website and other applications.<\/p>\n This time round, I also experimented with the drawings and hope to present this book as my personal development or work in progress. \nNem todos os meus desenhos s\u00e3o de uma cena que me chama a aten\u00e7\u00e3o. Frequentemente come\u00e7o procurando um lugar realmente confort\u00e1vel onde eu possa me sentar sem ser perturbado por algum tempo entre a agita\u00e7\u00e3o de uma cidade ocupada. Isso, para mim, pode ser bastante meditativo. Mais tarde, digitalizo os desenhos para fazer o upload no meu site e em outros aplicativos.
\nDesta vez, tamb\u00e9m experimentei com os desenhos e espero apresentar este livro como meu desenvolvimento pessoal ou trabalho em andamento. Desejo compartilhar a experi\u00eancia de desenhar o oceano e ter tentado capturar o elemento est\u00e1tico e ao mesmo tempo fluido da \u00e1gua, colocando os desenhos em um scanner e permitindo-lhes distorcer como eles querem fluir, muito parecido com a cidade, como a pr\u00f3pria vida”.
